Hajj Sense is developed and maintained by Al-Maqdisi Productions LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Location Data (Optional)

  • Purpose: Used for the Emergency SOS feature to share your GPS coordinates with your emergency contacts, and for saving your Mina camp pin.
  • Storage: Location data is processed locally on your device and is NOT stored on any servers.
  • Sharing: Location is only shared when YOU choose to send an SOS message. We do NOT access or share your location.

Contacts (Optional)

  • Purpose: Import emergency contacts for the SOS feature.
  • Storage: Contact information is stored locally on your device only.
  • Sharing: We do NOT access or share your contacts.

App Preferences

  • Your Hajj type, madhab, language, and settings are stored locally on your device only.

Progress Data

  • Which rites you've completed and your study progress are stored locally on your device only.

Anonymous Analytics

  • We collect anonymous usage data to improve the app.
  • What we collect: App opens, feature usage, general error types.
  • What we do NOT collect: Names, emails, precise location, advertising IDs.
  • Analytics provider: PostHog.
  • A random, non-identifying ID is generated — it cannot be linked to you personally.

In-App Purchases (Optional)

  • We offer an optional way to support development.
  • Payments are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play Store.
  • We do NOT receive or store any payment information.
  • A local record of support level is stored on your device only.

Third-Party Services

  • Aladhan API — Prayer times for half-night calculation
  • PostHog — Anonymous analytics
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — In-app purchases
  • RevenueCat — In-app purchase management

Data Security

  • All data is processed locally on your device.
  • We do NOT maintain servers that store user information.
  • No account or login required.

Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.

Your Rights

  • Access your data (all data is on your device)
  • Delete your data (uninstall the app or use Reset in Settings)
  • Opt out of location services via your device Settings
